Project summary

We are recruiting US-based, ABR-certified, MQSA-qualified Breast Radiologists to participate in a remote usability evaluation of an innovative AI-assisted breast imaging software.

This study is designed to evaluate the software's usability, workflow efficiency, and overall user experience from the perspective of experienced breast imaging specialists. During a moderated session, participants will review study materials, explore the platform, and provide structured feedback on workflow, navigation, functionality, and clinical relevance.

Your expertise will directly contribute to refining the platform, optimizing the user interface, and supporting the development of future AI solutions designed to enhance breast imaging workflows and improve the clinician experience.

Project details

Eligibility: US-based, ABR-certified, MQSA-qualified Breast Radiologists with 5+ years of experience interpreting mammography and active breast ultrasound responsibilities.

Session Duration: Approximately 60 minutes per participant.

Timeline: Sessions will be scheduled at participant convenience through July 31, 2026.

Mode: Remote, moderated usability testing conducted through a secure Remote Desktop environment. Sessions will be observed via Google Meet, and participant feedback will be collected through Google Forms.

Study Workflow

Pre-Session (10–15 minutes)

  • Complete electronic informed consent.
  • Review study instructions.
  • Verify access to the required technology.

Usability Session (20–30 minutes)

  • Access the Int-Linear software via Remote Desktop.
  • Explore the platform while completing representative usability tasks related to breast ultrasound interpretation and lesion assessment.
  • Evaluate lesion visualization, measurements, AI-generated outputs, workflow, and software functionality.
  • The session may be recorded for usability analysis with participant consent.

Post-Session (20 minutes)

  • Complete a structured usability questionnaire.
  • Provide feedback on usability, workflow efficiency, clinical relevance, user interface, and recommendations for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Review study materials before the scheduled session.
  • Complete electronic informed consent.
  • Attend the scheduled remote usability session.
  • Complete all assigned usability tasks and questionnaires.
  • Provide candid, constructive, and clinically relevant feedback.
  • Permit session recording when required and after providing consent.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding study materials, software functionality, and client information.

Requirements

  • American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certified.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience interpreting mammography.
  • Have met Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) mammography interpretation requirements for at least one (1) year prior to the study and continue to meet these requirements.
  • Have met ACR breast ultrasound interpretation requirements for at least one (1) year prior to the study and continue to meet these requirements.
  • Currently practicing as a Breast Imaging Radiologist with routine breast ultrasound interpretation responsibilities.
  • Currently interpret breast ultrasound as part of routine clinical practice.
  • Interpret a minimum of 1,000 screening mammography studies annually.
  • Previous experience as a truthing expert, clinical reviewer, or usability tester is preferred.
  • Have reliable high-speed internet, a functional webcam and microphone, and the ability to access a secure Remote Desktop environment.
