We are seeking culturally diverse, detail-oriented Dietitians to join an innovative project focused on estimating caloric content from food images. This role is ideal for professionals with deep knowledge of regional cuisines and nutritional science who can visually assess meals and infer ingredients based on cultural context.
Our goal is to build a robust, cuisine-aware calorie estimation system. That means we need dietitians from varied geographic and cultural backgrounds who can recognize dishes from their region and accurately estimate their nutritional content based on visual cues.
Project details
We are launching an innovative nutrition project focused on estimating the caloric content of meals using food images. This initiative aims to build a diverse, cuisine-aware calorie estimation system by leveraging the cultural knowledge and expertise of experienced Dietitians. Participants will analyze meal images, identify likely ingredients based on visual cues and regional familiarity, and provide brief rationale supporting their calorie assessments. The role is fully remote with flexible scheduling and requires 5–10 hours per week on an ongoing basis. We are particularly seeking U.S.-based Dietitians with multicultural experience—especially those fluent in a second language (Korean) or with work experience in South Korea—to help ensure accurate representation of global cuisines.
Responsibilities

Requirements
Currently practicing in the US.
Fluent in a second language or have lived and worked in the mentioned country (preferably Korean-South Korea)
At least 5 year of experience.
