We are recruiting a U.S.-based, board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician with 10+ years of post-residency experience to participate in a multi-reader, multi-case (MRMC) study evaluating performance in ASPECTS scoring of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) on non-contrast CT (NCCT) imaging.
This study assesses diagnostic performance both with and without AI decision support developed by the sponsor. As a participating emergency physician, you will independently interpret stroke CT studies across two structured reading phases (aided and unaided) using a secure, web-based platform (RedBrick AI).
Project Details
Eligibility: U.S.-based, actively practicing, Board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician with 10+ years of post-residency experience.
Workload:
- 75 NCCT stroke studies

Each case read twice:
- Once unaided
- Once AI-aided
- Total of 150 reads

Cases released in batches of up to 10
- Each batch exclusively aided or unaided
- Batch order randomized and counterbalanced
Study Design:
- Phase 1: All 75 cases read once, randomly assigned to aided or unaided mode
- Phase 2: All 75 cases read again, switching modes relative to Phase 1
Estimated Time Commitment:
- ~8–10 minutes per case
- ~10–13 hours per phase
- ~20–26 hours total
Timeline:
- Target start: Early March
- Each phase completed within 4 weeks
- 4-week washout period between phases
Mode:
- Fully remote and asynchronous
- Work completed via the RedBrick AI annotation platform
Workflow:
- Initial training (1 week)
- Phase 1: Review all 75 studies (4 weeks)
- 4-week washout period
- Refresher training (1 week)
- Phase 2: Review all 75 studies again (4 weeks)
Task Description
Participants will review brain non-contrast CT (NCCT) images and:
- Identify affected hemisphere(s)
- Score all 10 ASPECTS regions

Classify each region as:
- Affected
- Unaffected
- Cannot be evaluated
- Exclude chronic infarcts according to ASPECTS guidelines
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned case sets within agreed timelines
- Maintain consistency and anatomical rigor across cases
- Follow protocol requirements precisely
- Perform all work independently
Requirements
- U.S.-based, Board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician

Actively practicing with current clinical exposure to acute stroke care and/or stroke imaging interpretation

Ability to work independently, asynchronously, and follow a protocol-driven study workflow.
