Your ratings will not directly affect how a particular video appears on YouTube, nor will they cause specific videos, channels or creators to move up or down on the YouTube search results page. Instead, your ratings will be used to measure how well YouTube’s systems are performing across a broad range of tasks related to content quality.
You will be given a series of videos to rate. You should spend no more than 5 minutes on each video rating:
- Look at the thumbnail, tags, title and description of the video.
- Look at different parts of the video until you have a general understanding of what the video is about.
- Often, you will not be able to watch the whole video in the 5 minutes assigned to each task. For longer videos, look at the title, description, and scroll through the video to get a general understanding of the topic. Then, answer the questions based on the content that you’ve seen.
