Project summary

We are seeking experienced, US-based, MQSA-qualified Breast Radiologists to participate in a remote usability evaluation of an innovative AI-assisted breast ultrasound software platform designed to support breast lesion detection, interpretation, and diagnostic workflow optimization.

This study offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the development of technology intended to enhance breast imaging workflows and improve the clinician experience. Participants will engage in structured usability activities, share expert feedback during moderated sessions, and provide insights regarding workflow, functionality, and clinical relevance.

Feedback gathered from breast imaging specialists will play an important role in product refinement, user interface optimization, and future development efforts aimed at supporting more efficient and effective breast imaging practices.

Project details

  • Session Duration: Approximately 60 minutes, scheduled at the participant's convenience
  • Timeline: Testing expected to run through the end of June
  • Format: Remote, moderated usability testing conducted through secure Remote Desktop access, with observation via Google Meet (or similar platform) and post-session feedback collected through an online survey
  • Study Activities:
    • Complete electronic consent and receive study instructions
    • Participate in guided usability testing within the Vis-BUS platform
    • Review representative breast ultrasound cases and workflows
    • Evaluate lesion visualization, measurements, AI-generated outputs, and reporting features
    • Share real-time feedback regarding workflow, navigation, functionality, and clinical relevance
    • Complete a post-session questionnaire covering usability, workflow efficiency, user experience, and recommendations for improvement
  • Technical Requirements: Reliable internet connection, webcam, microphone, Remote Desktop access capability, and a private environment suitable for participation

Responsibilities

Participants are expected to:

  • Attend the scheduled usability session
  • Complete all assigned usability tasks
  • Provide candid and constructive feedback
  • Participate in moderated discussion and observation activities
  • Complete the post-session questionnaire
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding study materials and software functionality

Requirements

  • American Board of Radiology (ABR)–Certified
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience interpreting mammography
  • Have met Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) mammography interpretation requirements for at least one (1) year before the study and continue to meet these requirements
  • Have met ACR breast ultrasound interpretation requirements for at least one (1) year before the study and continue to meet these requirements
  • Currently practicing breast imaging radiologist with routine breast ultrasound interpretation responsibilities
