1 open role

Project summary

We are seeking an experienced Breast Radiologist (FRCR) to support a cutting-edge AI initiative focused on breast imaging. This project provides an opportunity to apply your specialist expertise in breast MRI interpretation to help develop and validate advanced artificial intelligence solutions designed to improve breast lesion detection, imaging analysis, and clinical decision support.

Selected radiologists will independently review and annotate volumetric breast MRI studies using a client-designated annotation platform. Your contributions will play an important role in creating high-quality expert-reviewed datasets that support AI model development, validation, and clinical research efforts.

Project details

  • Eligibility: UK-based Breast Radiologists with demonstrated experience interpreting breast MRI studies
  • Dataset: Volumetric breast MRI studies
  • Timeline: Project expected to begin next week
  • Mode: Fully remote and asynchronous participation through the client-designated annotation platform (3D Slicer or equivalent). Occasional calibration, quality alignment, or case-review sessions may be scheduled based on team availability.

Responsibilities

  • Review and assess volumetric breast MRI studies using the client-designated annotation platform.
  • Identify, validate, annotate, and classify breast lesions and imaging findings according to project-specific protocols and quality standards.
  • Perform annotation activities such as lesion localization, region-of-interest (ROI) annotation, quality review of imaging findings, validation of model-generated outputs, and structured classification/tagging workflows.
  • Maintain high levels of annotation accuracy, clinical consistency, and adherence to technical and project guidelines.
  • Complete assigned case reviews within established timelines and proactively communicate any workflow, quality, or technical concerns.
  • Participate in onboarding, calibration, quality assurance, and occasional case-review sessions to support continuous improvement and alignment across the project.

Requirements

  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR)
  • Demonstrated subspecialty experience in Breast Imaging / Breast Radiology
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting breast MRI studies in clinical practice
  • Experience within the NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) or equivalent breast imaging practice preferred

Join a forward-thinking initiative where your expertise in breast imaging can directly contribute to advancing AI technologies that have the potential to improve patient care and the future of diagnostic radiology.
