Project Summary
We are recruiting licensed Ophthalmologists based in LATAM or India to participate in an OCT image annotation pilot supporting the development of advanced AI models in ophthalmology. In this project, clinicians will apply their retinal expertise to perform pixel-level segmentation on retinal OCT volumes, generating high-quality training and validation data that will directly inform AI model performance. All work will be completed remotely using a secure medical image annotation platform, enabling flexible, asynchronous participation.
Project Details
- Eligibility: Licensed Ophthalmologists based in LATAM or India
- Workload: 3 images for the pilot; depending on annotation quality, the project may scale to additional cases
- TPT: To be determined
- Schedule: Project start anticipated next week
- Mode: Fully remote and asynchronous, with all work completed via a medical image annotation platform
Responsibilities
- Complete structured OCT image annotations for assigned case sets in accordance with predefined clinical and technical guidelines
- Perform precise pixel-level segmentation of retinal structures and representative pathological findings with high accuracy and consistency
- Adhere strictly to established project protocols to ensure data quality and standardization
- Complete assigned workloads within agreed-upon timelines
Requirements
- Licensed Ophthalmologist with a recognized qualification (e.g., MD/MS Ophthalmology, DNB Ophthalmology, M Med (Ophthalmology), FRCOphth, or equivalent)
- Strong familiarity with retinal anatomy and common retinal and vitreoretinal pathologies
- Experience with medical data annotation tools and pixel-level segmentation of imaging data (preferred)
- Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment and follow detailed annotation protocols
